The Malaviya Regional College, Jaipur is one of the seventeen Regional Engineering Colleges established in the country by the Government of India. The college is a joint venture of the Government of India and the State Government of Rajasthan. It was established in the year of 1963 with a provision to start five year Bachelor of Engineering Programme in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Metallurgical Engineering. The duration of the B.E. Degree courses was changed to four years from the academic session 1983-84. The administration and management affairs of the college are vested in a Society named as "THE MALAVIYA REGIONAL ENGINEERING COLLEGE SOCIETY".
